Operatives of the Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety( So-Safe) corps have arrested a 42-year-old farmer, Geniu Agbajo for allegedly defiling a girl(name withheld) at his farm in Ipokia Local Council of the State.

The suspect was arrested following a complaint received by the Corp’s Director of Anti-Arms Smuggling on September 7, 2026.

The Corps’ Commander, Dr Soji Ganzallo confirmed this to newsmen in a statement by the Director of Information and Public Relations, ACC Adegunwa Adegbuyi, in Abeokuta, the state capital.

Ganzallo said that the agency received a report from concern members of a community within the council that the victim came home one day and cried to her mother.

He explained that when the victim’s mother questioned what happened, the girl reportedly said that she was raped by the suspect.

The commander explained further that the mother became angry and shouted for help, a cry which attracted some community members.

He said that immediately the case was reported, operatives swung into action and stormed the residence of the suspect at Hassan Compound , Igbokulu, Ita-Egbe, Ipokia.

Ganzallo said that during the preliminary interrogation, the suspect admitted to have committed the crime in his farmland at Ojugo, Ita-Egbe.

He, however, said that the suspect would be handed over to the police and thanked the residents for their support while encouraging all unlawful and suspicious acts to be quickly reported to the agency for appropriate action.
