An eyewitness account revealed that a policeman, while attempting to shoot at a vehicle on the run along Gbagi Market Road, accidentally struck an innocent school student with a stray bullet while he was in his father’s car.
Battling for his life, the student was immediately rushed to Welfare Hospital but was declared dead on arrival (DOA) at the hospital.
Irked by the student’s sudden death, the angry youth proceeded to the Oyo State Government Secretariat with his lifeless body, calling for Governor Seyi Makinde’s immediate intervention.
