According to security analyst Zagazola Makama, troops in Gujba Local Government Area of Yobe State, acting on verified intelligence, launched an attack on Boko Haram terrorists operating a tax collection point in the Ngazargamu area.

“In the ensuing firefight, troops eliminated two terrorists and recovered a haul of weapons, including two AK-47 rifles, one FN rifle, 19 rounds of 7.62 mm (special) ammunition, five rounds of 7.62 mm (NATO) ammunition, two extra AK-47 rifle magazines, and three mobile phones,” Makama reported on Saturday morning.

Similarly, in Borno State along the Gamboru-Logomane road, troops ambushed fighters belonging to the Islamic State’s West Africa Province (ISWAP), killing two terrorists.

Makama added that the troops also recovered two AK-47 rifles and various other items at the scene.
