NAS urges teamwork to improve education
National Association of Seadogs (NAS) has advocated collaboration to improve the state of education in the country. The association called on corporate bodies to seize opportunities such as international education day set aside by the United Nations (UN) to interface with stakeholders in the education sector to improve what they described as a “decaying state” of education in Nigeria.
NAS commemorated this year’s Education Day; themed: ‘Changing Course, Transforming Education,’ by visiting schools in Obio-Akpor council of Rivers State and donated books to pupils and students of Model Primary School and Community Secondary School, Rumukwurushi, yesterday.
Speaking after the presentation of reading materials to students, the President of NAS Barrakuda X chapter, Mezie Anaba, called on private bodies to partner government to improve education in the state.
