Ugwuanyi compensates fire disaster victims

Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi has visited victims of the recent fire outbreak at Ugboezeji and Ugboye in Abakpa Nike area of Enugu State and empathised with them.

Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi has visited victims of the recent fire outbreak at Ugboezeji and Ugboye in Abakpa Nike area of Enugu State and empathised with them.

The governor doled out a total of N6 million to the owners of furniture shops, tubers of yam, bags of beans and residential building that were gutted by the fire.The victims at Ugboezeji got N500, 000 each to start a new life while N1 million was given to the landlord to assist her in rebuilding the property.

At Ugboye, the furniture makers got N500,000 each while the yam seller and bean-cake fryer got N300, 000 and N200,000.The victims who could not hold back their tears of joy, prayed God to continue to bless the governor and grant him his heart’s desire for coming to their rescue.They also prayed for Ugwuanyi’s re-election in 2019, describing him as a good and kind-hearted governor.
