President Bola Tinubu

• Want national anthem used to teach national unity

The Planter of Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), Adamimogo Grace of Mercy Prayer Mountain Worldwide, Sam Olu-Alo, has urged Nigerians to pray for the country’s leaders rather than condemning them.

Olu-Alo said sustained prayers could help the country overcome its challenges and encouraged leaders to govern in accordance with the will of God.

In a statement by his Personal Assistant, Deji Ogunbusuyi, the cleric urged Tinubu to remain responsive to the concerns of Nigerians and continue to pursue measures that would improve the living conditions of citizens.

ALSO, President of the International Fellowship of Ecumenical Ministries, Archbishop Osazee Williams, has said that the national anthem should be used more deliberately in schools to teach unity, civic responsibility and peaceful coexistence.

Williams, in a statement yesterday, said the anthem contained important messages about unity, service, responsibility and shared national identity that could help young Nigerians appreciate the country’s ethnic, religious and regional diversity.
