Nigeria’s High Commissioner to India, Amb. Saidu Muhammad, has presented his Letters of Credence to Indian President Droupadi Murmu in New Delhi.

The presentation ceremony took place yesterday at Rashtrapati Bhavan, the official residence of the Indian President.

This is contained in a statement issued by by the Nigerian High Commission in India and made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) yesterday.

Muhammad conveyed the goodwill and best wishes of President Bola Tinubu to Murmu, pledging to strengthen Nigeria-India bilateral relations.

He said his priorities would include deepening economic, trade and investment cooperation between the two countries.

The High Commissioner described his appointment as both a privilege and responsibility to advance Nigeria’s interests and consolidate longstanding bilateral ties.

In her remarks, Murmu welcomed Muhammad to India and congratulated him on his appointment as Nigeria’s High Commissioner.

She highlighted the longstanding relationship between Nigeria and India, describing the ties as founded on strong historical bonds, mutual respect and shared interests.
