In a continued effort to empower Africa’s creative community, Ninthgrid has announced a partnership with Creatives Connect and Ijeworks for an initiative that supports emerging photographers through the upcoming “Master the Lens: Turning Your Art into Income” workshop.
The one-day masterclass, happening on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at The Space Studio, Lagos, will bring together aspiring and early-stage photographers for an immersive experience focused on creativity, storytelling, and the business of photography.
As part of the collaboration, Ninthgrid will sponsor early-stage photographers to attend the workshop at no cost, providing them with the opportunity to access professional training, network with peers, and learn practical steps to turn their creative talent into a sustainable career.
For Ninthgrid, this partnership is a reflection of the brand’s mission to equip African creators with visibility, access, and opportunity.
Through initiatives like this, the platform continues to bridge the gap between creativity and commerce, helping photographers and visual storytellers build careers that thrive both artistically and financially.
“Ninthgrid was built on the belief that African creators deserve the same access, visibility, and commercial opportunities as their global counterparts,” said Tolu Olawumi, Marketing Lead at Ninthgrid.
“This partnership allows us to take that belief offline, giving real people the skills and platform to grow, earn, and tell their stories through the lens.”
Speaking on the collaboration, Ijeoma Chuks, Founder of Ijeworks and Creatives Connect, added: “Creatives Connect has always championed opportunities that empower young creators. Partnering with Ninthgrid aligns perfectly with our vision of building communities that support growth, collaboration, and sustainable creative careers.”
The “Master the Lens” workshop will feature live sessions on brand photography, lighting, and content creation, alongside discussions on pricing, packaging, and positioning as a creative entrepreneur. Participants will also gain access to post-event mentorship and visibility through Ninthgrid’s growing creative network.
Giving an insight at Ijeworks, Chuks said: “We understand that events are significant moments for brands and individuals, and it is essential to preserve those memories and experiences. We provide comprehensive video coverage that showcases the unique atmosphere, key moments, and highlights of any event.
“With our redefined images, we tell stories – the only reference in the present to the past, the only proof of what or who is, and the only string that keeps memories alive. We are driven to capture priceless moments in a creative way that is pleasing to the eye.”
