Oluwateniola Solange Akinwumi of Chrisland High School has emerged as the Secretary-General of the Nigeria Model United Nations Society (NISSMUN).
Akinwumi, who was described as an intelligent, young global actor and diplomatic icon, was elected last Wednesday, during the 7th annual conference of the organisation.
Her emergence followed a keenly contested election amongst conference delegates of young and energetic superstars seen as solution providers and global affairs transformational agents.
NISSMUN is an organisation that provides one of the most prestigious and robust platforms for the most authentic simulation of the UN, her deliberations, conflict resolution, collaboration, and development interventions against the backdrop of Nigeria’s parallel and unique social issues.Â
