The Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) has warned the public against fake recruitment exercises being carried out by some fraudulent individuals in the name of the agency.
NMDPRA, in a statement on Monday, said that these dishonest individuals go to the extent of issuing fake letters of employment to unsuspecting members of the public.
Meanwhile, the agency noted that it is not currently recruiting and that it will not demand payment in any form for any job placement.
NMDPRA stated that it will never carry out any recruitment exercise without recourse to the stipulated rules and guidelines of the Public Service Rules and the Federal Character Commission.
“The general public is hereby advised that the NMDPRA will never carry out any recruitment exercise without recourse to the stipulated rules and guidelines of the Public Service Rules and the Federal Character Commission.”
It also urged anyone contacted for any recruitment to not hesitate to contact the relevant law enforcement agencies.
