The members of Arewa Youth Assembly (AYA) contended that if the signatories to the Kaduna Declaration are allowed to go scot-free, what may follow could be full-scale war, leading to massive loss of lives and destruction of property.

Inspector-General of Police, Mr Ibrahim Idris

Citing the inability to arrest leaders of the Northern Youths Coalition that issued ultimatum for Igbo to vacate the north by October 1 this year, another youth body, Arewa Youth Assembly, has called for the immediate sack of the National Security Adviser, Director General Department of State Security and the Inspector General of Police; for dereliction of duty and threat to national security.

The members of Arewa Youth Assembly (AYA) contended that if the signatories to the Kaduna Declaration are allowed to go scot-free, what may follow could be full-scale war, leading to massive loss of lives and destruction of property.

In a statement issued in Kaduna at the weekend by its leader, Mohammed Salihu, Arewa Youth Assembly described those who signed the Kaduna Declaration as ‘agents of darkness’, stressing that they must be arrested to serve as deterrence to others.

They said: “The Acting president should move ahead and order the arrest of all those behind this plot, even Biafra agitators and bring them to book. While the NSA, the DG – SSS and IGP should be sacked for failing to apprehend all those behind Kaduna declaration.
