The dinner precedes the highly anticipated Niger Delta International Festival and Trade Expo, set to take place later this year, which will also feature the Niger Delta Economic and Investment Summit 2024. The twin events, organised in partnership with the Ministry of Niger Delta and Brevity Anderson, are aimed at unlocking the region’s economic potential and empowering its people.
The Ministry of Niger Delta and KenEva Consult Ltd had previously signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Abuja to formalise the hosting of these events. Speaking at the unveiling, Ambassador Kenule Nwiya, founder of the Niger Delta International Festival and Trade Expo, highlighted the festival’s focus on economic empowerment, cultural showcase, and trade opportunities for the region.
Ambassador Nwiya elaborated on the event’s strategic goals, stating, “This festival and trade expo are designed to give back to the people of the Niger Delta by providing economic empowerment, showcasing our rich cultural heritage, and facilitating trade opportunities. We will have charity medical outreach, empowerment programmes for small and medium-scale enterprises, and support for those promoting our local foods.”

These initiatives will provide opportunities for the youth to leverage their skills and contribute meaningfully to the nation’s economic development.
