NPC alerts public over fake recruitment
The National Population Census (NPC) has stated that it is not recruiting at the moment.
The NPC made this known in a tweet in response to a fake post on Twitter congratulating an applicant on a successful application for the Census Adhoc Staff.
“The Commission wishes to inform the public that it is not undergoing any recruitment exercise for the Census at the moment,” NPC said.
“Kindly note that NPC has concluded recruitment of the functionaries for the 2023 Census before the exercise was postponed.”
The 2023 Population and Housing Census, earlier scheduled for 3rd and 7th May, was postponed by former president Muhammadu Buhari.
President Bola Tinubu will announce new dates for the national population and housing census that was postponed last April.
Nasir Kwarra, chairman of the National Population Commission (NPC), disclosed this to state house correspondents after his delegation debriefed the president at the presidential villa, Abuja, last Thursday.
