NYSC member donates educational materials in Nasarawa State

A National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member, Mr. Oyedele Lawrence Olalekan, with Code NS/18B/3457 serving in the state, has donated educational materials to students of Government Secondary School, Gidan Zakara in Karshi Development Area of Karu Local Council.

Oyedele said he decided to save money out of his monthly allowance to buy items and donate to the school, as part of his contributions to the society.

“Some of the students lack study materials and seats. I decided to give my widow’s mite and today, I am happy to present this token,” he said.

The items donated included eight chairs and desks, 100 pairs of socks, 30 exercise books, 120 writing pens and six pairs of school uniform.

The state NYSC Coordinator, who was represented by Mr Amozua Abraham, called on the students to study hard, so that Oyedele’s sacrifice would not be in vain.
