Esther Ajayi calls for optimism, assures peaceful election

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi; former Minister of Industry, Nike Akande and Chairman, Ogun Guangdong Free Trade Zone and China Africa, Hafsat Oduwole, are part of the dignitaries expected at the 15th anniversary and one year thanksgiving ceremony of Love of Christ (LOC) Cathedral, Oniru, Lagos.

Obasanjo is the preacher of the day, while the Ooni is the royal father of the day for the double celebration ceremony coming up between September 2 and 4, 2022. General Overseer of the church, Esther Abimbola Ajayi, who spoke on the programme in Lagos, yesterday, urged Nigerians to be optimistic despite the challenges confronting the country with the assurance that it will be well with the nation in no distant future.

She also advised that prayer should rather be offered to God continually for Him to touch the heart of Nigerian leaders to do what is right.

“If you want to preach against greediness, let it start from you and that is what we are doing. The change needed in Nigeria starts with everyone of us.

“The Esther Abimbola Ajayi Foundation has 128 students in private universities, and we feed some people every day, among others.

“I am a pastor and I always go back to the Bible, He that keeps us neither sleep, nor slumber. So, we will continue to pray for Nigeria.

“Two weeks before Bola Tinubu emerged as candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), National Youth Leader of APC, Dayo Israel, was with him and he asked me to pray for him and I did. I also prayed for Atiku Abubakar and I anointed him. Rabiu Kwankwaso came here and I prayed for him. Everybody is my friend, every party is my party. In this election, we must vote and I know for sure that there will be no war in Nigeria.

“We were not like this some years back when my husband and I will start our journey to Abuja by 8:00 p.m. but the situation has changed in the country. We need to return to God. God should touch those at the helm of affairs.
