Former president Olusegun Obasanjo is among distinguished personalities expected to deliver keynote address at the Annual district conference of Rotary International District 9112 in Abeokuta.

Addressing journalists in Lagos on Tuesday, the District Governor of Rotary International District 9112, Rotarian Lanre Adedoyin, stated that the conference is a gathering of influence, service, leadership and inspiration.
To him, ‘we are excited that the conference will host several eminent personalities, including the representative of the President of Rotary International, past district governors, notable business leaders, diplomats, traditional rulers, government officials, policy makers, community leaders in the country and beyond.’

Beyond fellowship and networking, he disclosed the conference would also showcase Rotary’s contribution to humanity through impactful projects in healthcare, education, youth development, economic development, peacebuilding, maternal and child health, water and sanitation, as well as environmental sustainability.
Themed, ‘Elevate Rotary,’ Adedoyin added, ‘in our club, we place high premium in lifting people. The society is the ultimate beneficiary of our projects. For us, it is a way of stepping up our game.’

The conference holds from 14th May to 17th May 2026 at Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential library Abeokuta Ogun State.
Other speakers at the conference include the comedian, Ali Baba, President of Association of Small Business Owners of Nigeria Femi Egbesola among others.
