A group, under the aegis of ‘Obidients Movement Lagos,’ has urged the National Publicity Secretary of the Labour Party (LP), Abayomi Arabambi and National Legal Adviser, Akingbade Oyelekan, to desist from continuous interference in the affairs of the Lagos State chapter of the party.

The group, in a statement signed by its Coordinator and Secretary, Mr. Femi Collins and Desmond Onyeagocha respectively, yesterday, said the untoward activities and interference of the duo in Lagos State were detrimental to the chances of the party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi.

It described Arabambi and Oyelekan’s interference as indecorous and not salutary. The group, which maintained that LP in Lagos had potentials for victory in the 2023 general elections, said no internal issues should be allowed to diminish its chances at the polls.

It said that both Arabambi and Oyelekan had duties to attend in strengthening the party in other states than focus on Lagos, thereby causing distraction, disruptions and animosities among members.

The group, therefore, urged the National Chairman of the party, Julius Abure, to call his fellow National Working Committee (NWC) members to order and preserve the integrity of the national executive and sanctity of the party in Lagos State.
