Nwabueze commends Adebanjo, Afenifere for supporting Obi

Former Deputy Chairman, Media and Public Affairs, House of Representatives, Victor Ogene, has described the Labour Party (LP), presidential candidate, Peter Obi, as a symbol of the people’s revolution towards the enthronement of a new Nigeria.

Ogene, who is the LP candidate, Ogbaru Federal Constituency of Anambra State in 2023, in a statement, yesterday, commemorating the 61st birthday of Obi, prayed for wisdom to enable the LP presidential flag bearer to successfully lead the coming ‘revolution’ peacefully.

He said: “It is with great pleasure that I join the ever-growing mass of supporters of Obi to felicitate with him on his 61st birthday.”

ALSO, the oldest living Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) and Chairman, Igbo Leaders of Thought (ILT), Prof. Ben Nwabueze, yesterday, commended Chief Ayo Adebanjo, the leader of Afenifere, an apex Yoruba socio-political organisation, for supporting the candidature of Obi in the presidential election

The constitutional lawyer, in a letter to Adebanjo, yesterday, said the declaration of support by him and Afenifere for the Obi in the presidential election shows that he is one of the greatest patriots in Nigeria.
