Oborevwori approves land for federal medical varsity, Kwale

Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has approved land for the take off site for the Federal University of Medical and Health Sciences, Kwale in Ndokwa West Local Council of the state.

The Commissioner for Lands, Surveys and Urban Development, Chief Emamusi Obiodeh, who announced the governor’s approval, yesterday, in Asaba, said the site is the location previously used by the School of Marine Technology, Kwale.

The university will operate from the 15 hectares of land, including all facilities and infrastructure, which were previously used by the Kwale campus until it moved to its permanent site, pending its relocation to the 100-hectare permanent site at Umuseti-Kwale.

The commissioner said Oborevwori appreciated the Federal Government for the choice of Delta State for this all- important specialised university, expressing his government’s preparedness to partner with the Federal Government and any other serious investors with capacity that are ready to invest in the state.

He stated that the governor had directed him to provide land to investors ready to partner with the state with viable developments that would impact positively on the lives of Deltans and other Nigerians.
