Odu’a Investment Company Limited has inaugurated Dr Tajudeen Tola Kasali as its new Group Chairman.

Kasali, who served under President Bola Tinubu during his tenure as Governor of Lagos State, formally assumed office at the company’s Board of Directors’ meeting held on July 30, following the announcement of his appointment at the 44th yearly general meeting of the company on June 26 at the redeveloped Premier Hotel, Ibadan.

He succeeds Bimbo Ashiru, whose four-year tenure ended in line with the company’s rotational chairmanship policy among its six shareholder states in the South-West.

According to the firm, Ashiru will, however, remain on the board until 2028 to ensure continuity and stability.

Kasali lauded the board and shareholders for the confidence reposed in him, pledging to consolidate on the achievements of previous administrations.

He said the company would continue to pursue sustainable investments while creating long-term value for its shareholders across Oyo, Ogun, Osun, Ondo, Ekiti and Lagos states.

The new Chairman said his immediate priority would be the implementation of the company’s SRC 2.0 Strategic Framework (2026–2030), which targets N30 billion in profit before tax, N1 trillion in total assets and N50 billion in group revenue by 2030.

The board commended Ashiru for his leadership, noting that the company recorded significant milestones during his tenure, including the redevelopment of Premier Hotel, Ibadan, improved corporate governance, investment portfolio rebalancing and a record N23.58 billion profit before tax for the 2025 financial year.

It added that the company’s credit rating was upgraded by Agusto & Co. from A+ to Aa- during the period, expressing confidence that Kasali’s experience in healthcare, public administration and strategic leadership would drive the next phase of the company’s growth.
