The Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Olakunke Oluomo, has announced the suspension of the Former Deputy, Dare Kadiri, who is representing Ijebu North II State Constituency, and Solomon Osho, representing Remo North Constituency.

“The following Honourable members, Hon. Oluwadamilare Kadiri and Solomon Osho are hereby suspended from the House and its activities forthwith until further notice,” Oluomo said on Tuesday during the State plenary.

The Speaker stated that the suspension of Kadiri and Osho is “in line with the provisions of Sections 14 and 15 of the Legislative Houses (Powers and Privileges) Act, 2017.”

He added that the two lawmakers have been found to have severally and contentiously breached the rights and privileges of the State House of Assembly.

Oluomo added that the document containing the suspension of Kadiri and Osho had been signed by the appropriate number of lawmakers, hence, needed no other procedure before implementation.

“Since this has been signed by the appropriate number of people, it requires no vote or anything, so they stand suspended,” he said
