The Ogun State Independent Electoral Commission (OGSIEC) has fixed Saturday, July 24, 2021 as the date for the much-awaited local council election in the 20 council areas of the state.

OGSIEC Chairman, Mr. Babatunde Osibodu, who disclosed this, yesterday, during a stakeholders’ meeting to flag off political activities for the poll, held at the June 12 Cultural Centre, Abeokuta, said an adjustment had been made to the recently-released timetable, to among other things, enable political parties and other interest groups have ample time to prepare for the forthcoming poll.
