The Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Wing Worldwide, has rejected the National leadership of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria’s (MACBAN) proposal to be accommodated in the surveillance and vigilance security architecture of the South east.

The group’s National Leader, Ambassador Arthur Uchenna Obiorah, took the stance in Awka, yesterday, and
warned the herdsmen to steer clear of the Southeast.

He said the apex Igbo socio cultural group took the decision to defend their territory, with the backings and support of their state governors.

He said: “After an emergency meeting on Thursday night, we resolved that Ndigbo had the numeric strength and competence to secure their environment without recourse to solicit assistance from a third party.

“We are youths, and have able-bodied men and women to carry out the security task of our states…We do not need the assistance of Fulani herdsmen or anyone to protect us here in Igbo land…”
