Former Executive Secretary, National Universities Commission (NUC), Prof. Peter Okebukola and erstwhile Deputy Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Babatunde Lemo, are among eminent scholars that will be conferred with honorary doctorate degrees at the 14th convocation of Crawford University, Igbesa, Ogun State.

The Vice Chancellor of the institution, Prof. Jiya Kolo, who disclosed this at a media briefing ahead of the ceremony scheduled to hold on November 9, 2022, said the new Chancellor, Dr. Isaac Adigun, and another honoree, would also receive awards.

Kolo said the convocation lecture titled: ‘Governance and Security: Key issues involved in the management of Nigerian universities,’ would be delivered by Prof. Adebisi Balogun, former Vice Chancellor of Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA).

He said that of the 222 graduating students, 12 bagged First Class from Colleges of Business and Social Sciences, Arts and Communication Studies, as well as Natural and Applied Sciences.

He added that the three colleges produced 71 Second Class Upper, 94 Second Class Lower and 45 Third Class degrees holders, adding that there are six graduating students from Postgraduate Diploma (PGD), seven from Masters of Business Administration (MBA) and 14 Masters of Science (M.Sc.) Kolo said the institution was committed to producing quality graduates who will be employable anywhere in the world.
