Following allegations of misrule and financial misappropriations levelled against former Governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha, the immediate past Chairman of the National Population Commission (NPC), Chief Eze Duruiheoma (SAN), has added his voice, saying various probe panels constituted by the Imo State Governor, Emeka Ihedioha to investigate past governments was in order.

Senator Okorocha had last week returned to the state, and was quoted to have asked his supporters to resist any unjust disturbance by the Ihedioha administration.

Duruiheoma, also the Chairman, Panel of Inquiry investigating finances of the 27 local councils told The Guardian that it was normal for a sitting governor to hold his predecessor(s) accountable during the period they served, wondering why Okorocha would think otherwise. He recalled that Okorocha did similar thing, when he took over power in 2011, wondering why the present one is different. He advised Okorocha to submit himself for investigation, whenever he is invited, adding that all panels constituted by Ihedioha were within the confines of the law.
