Vice presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP and Governor of Delta, Ifeanyi Okowa, yesterday, commiserated with the Primate Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion), Most Rev. Henry Ndukuba, on the passing of two bishops in the church.

The deceased were Archbishop of Lagos Province, Anglican Communion and Bishop of Lagos Diocese, Most Rev. Humphrey Olumakaiye, and Bishop of Ndokwa Diocese, The Rt. Rev David Obiosa.

Olumakaiye gave up the ghost at the age of 53 while Obiosa passed on October 25 at 59.

In a condolence message signed by the state Commissioner for Information, Charles Aniagwu, in Asaba, Okowa said the death of the senior church officials was devastating, adding that they passed on when their services were highly needed.

He also condoled with the immediate families of the deceased and parishioners of the two dioceses and urged them to take solace in the fact that Archbishop Olumakaiye and Bishop Obiosa lived lives of service to God and humanity.
