Old students donate 300 bunk beds to college
Oriwu College Old Students Association (OCOSA) Ikorodu has donated 300 double bunk beds to the boys hostel of the college to mark its 70th anniversary. The event held at the premises of the premier college in Igbogbo area of Ikorodu to celebrate its diamond jubilee.
A lecture titled the ‘Effect of drug abuse and cultism on the youths’, also held where students were warned by the speaker, Mr. Olanrewaju Hermanni, to stay off drugs and cultism as those vices would ruin their lives and future.
According to the national president of OCOSA, Engr. Charles Longe, “the talk about a day with the students was a very special day for us. We enlightened the students on the bad effects of drugs in society and cultism as well as career talk on how to plan and ensure that they don’t choose a wrong career in life.
At the gala night which will be the climax of the anniversary, we will give awards to people and fundraising for an information and communication centre in the school.”
