The Olubadan-designate, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, has said he will not delay the filling of any vacant position in the Olubadan chieftaincy line.
Ladoja disclosed this while hosting the Asipa Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Abiodun Kola-Daisi, at his residence in Lagos.
“There would be no delay in filling every pending vacancy in the Olubadan chieftaincy line,” he said, according to a statement by his spokesman, Adeola Oloko, in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
On the passing of his predecessor, Oba Ladoja said, “I was not in Ibadan when the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, joined his ancestors on Monday, July 7, 2025.”
The former Governor of Oyo State extolled the virtues of the late paramount ruler, saying, “Kabiyesi Olakulehin lived an impactful life and gave a good account of himself.”
He prayed for God to rest his soul and comfort his family.
Earlier, the Asipa Olubadan, Oba Kola Daisi, condoled Kabiyesi Olubadan-Designate over the exit of the 43rd Olubadan. He also congratulated Oba Ladoja on his emergence as the next Olubadan, pledging his loyalty and support for him in his efforts to make life more abundant for the people of Ibadan.
