S’West women leaders seek God’s intervention for President’s cabinet
The Paramount Ruler of Iwoland, Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi, has congratulated President Bola Tinubu on his inauguration as the 16th President of Nigeria.
Oba Akanbi described Tinubu’s political ordeal as leverage for a renewed hope, saying those hurdles will strengthen his administration in favour of all Nigerians.
He urged the nation’s patriots, traditional rulers, stakeholders, politicians, opinion and religious leaders to rally support for the new President in the interest of the country and her people.
Oluwo, who prayed for a successful tenure for Tinubu, specially appealed to aggrieved politicians to be calm as he urged the new President to extend an olive branch.
MEANWHILE, South-West women leaders (Iyalodes) have said that they are praying to God to assist Tinubu in choosing the right people to work with him. The Iyalodes, at a meeting in Lagos, said Tinubu has a good agenda to make Nigeria great but needs people to implement it.
The Iyalode of Yorubaland, who doubles as the Iyalode of Egbaland, Alaba Lawson, said women leaders in South-West would do all within their power to protect Tinubu’s administration from evil-minded people.
She, therefore, urged the President to carefully select those that will work with him, saying that consideration should not be given to those that would make him deviate from his plans for Nigerians.
Also speaking, the Iyalode of Lagos, Bintu Fatima Tinubu, said Tinubu is capable of leading the country going by his antecedents in Lagos.
