Ondo applauds Olutoye’s appointment as U.S. hospital surgeon-in-chief


Ondo State Government has commended the appointment of Dr. Oluyinka Olutoye, from Alani of Ido-Ani as Surgeon-in-Chief of the National Children’s Hospital in the United States of America (USA).

Acting Governor of the State, Agboola Ajayi described Dr. Olutoye’s appointment as a round peg in a round hole, saying he was part of the team that carried out surgery on a baby in-utero in a Texas hospital in 2016.A statement issued in Akure yesterday by the Deputy Chief Press Secretary to the Acting Governor, Babatope Okeowo, noted that the appointment was a well-deserved one and a pride to the Black Race.

By his appointment, Olutoye will lead one of the largest children’s hospital surgery departments in the world.Not only would he be leading 11 surgical departments, Dr. Olutoye would also be responsible for education of the next generation leaders in children’s surgery.
