In a bid to empower African women and make them successful in all areas of human endeavour, especially in leadership and entrepreneurship, Phenomenal African Woman Foundation (PAW), an international Non-Governmental Organization for the African Woman has organised a programme with the theme ‘Turning Ideas into Pay Checks.’

Founder, PAW, Mr. Taiwo Adepoju informed that the objective of the programme is to re-orientate women by creating idea and converting them into income.

“Every woman desires to make cash. We need to build independent women that wouldn’t depend solely on their husbands but make their own money. When a woman is not financially empowered, she will be disenfranchised from every other thing. Our organisation’s 5 thematic areas are media & entertainment, health, education, empowerment and entrepreneurial and Leadership development,” he said.

He noted that the organisation, which started operations three years ago and currently in 16 African countries, is positioned to contribute to Africa’s growth and development, by designing and implementing programmes that will create a better future and an environment where children and women are able to have access to better facilities, financial, educational, health and humanitarian support.

Speakers at the event including Sola Adesakin, Sam Naike and Tola Kafadiya-Oke urged female entrepreneurs to be innovative, creative, resourceful, passionate, flexible and invest in a good team.
