National Youths Service Corps members from batch A, B and C of Oshodi-Isolo Local Government has donated palliatives to the host community.

The corps members gave donated hand sanitizers, 150 small bag of rice, beans and tomatoes, and 250 face masks to th community.

They team also gave a pep talk on preventive measures on the spread of coronavirus and presented a six minutes video in seven Nigerian languages to the vice-chairman of the local government Tpl. Daisi Oso to be circulated on social media for further enlightenment.

Eddy Megwa NYSC Lagos state coordinator said the gesture is a form of appreciation to the community as he appealed to residents of the community to continue to extend their hand of love and fellowship to corps members.

Megwa also thanked the local government authority and entire Oshodi/Isolo community for the love exhibited towards youth corpers in their community, especially the local government chairman Hon. Idris Bolaji Muse Ariyoh for his supportive and fatherly role most times.

Chioma Odihekandu, the local government inspector who is the leader of NYSC Oshodi/Isolo LG, reiterated that everyone must stand firmly in the fight against COVID-19 spread because this virus is real.

He urged everyone to adhere strictly to all COVID-19 preventive measures and keep maintaining high level of personal and environmental hygiene in alignment with the standard outline by ncdc g the global health expert in curtailing the spread of the virus.

Daisi Oso who represented the local government Chairman Hon. Idris Bolaji Muse Ariyoh at the event while receiving the palliative items thanked the corps members for been magnanimous at this period to remember the people of the community with this laudable gifts.

“I commend your efforts for this laudable donation and culture of giving back to the community which you have demonstrated today. If we imbibe this culture of giving back, our society would be great”

He assured the NYSC officials that Hon. Idris Bolaji Muse Ariyoh administration would continue to support and give priority to NYSC issues in the local government.

One of the beneficiary Rotim Adeniyi said, “I want to commend the NYSC corps members for this kind gesture. For them to remember us during this period ,it is a laudable thing. Almighty God will continue to bless them.”
