Osinbajo, at Durbar, describes Kano as city of firsts

“Not only, is the Kano Durbar festival a fantastic spectacle from a city of firsts, but it is also a symbol of Nigeria’s diverse and beautiful cultures.”

The above was the submission of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, during his visit to the royal Durbar, organised by the Kano Emirate Council to commemorate the 2022 Eid-el-Fitr celebration in the ancient city.

Osinbajo, who was special guest, addressed reporters before paying a courtesy call on the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero.

He commended the organisers and participants, noting: “The Durbar is an incredible spectacle, so much colour, so much pomp and pageantry, it is very typical

Earlier, the monarch acknowledged contributions of the Vice President to the development of Nigeria, praying God to grant him success in all his future aspirations.

He thanked the visitor for attending the event, observing that his presence had improved the status of the occasion.
