The governorship candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti, has charged voters not to be discouraged, but be inspired to vote by the new Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) innovation, the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS), which, he said, has provided better platform for the protection of votes.

He expressed optimism that the new technology would increase voters’ resolve to redouble efforts to reclaim and rebuild the state for the good of all.

Speaking on Christmas celebration, Otti noted that this year’s celebration was special to millions of Abians for two reasons. First, that in spite of many tragedies that had befallen the nation, Abians were privileged to be alive to behold the day, stressing that this should be more than enough to be grateful to God.

Second, that this year’s Christmas precedes the crucial election year of 2023, when eligible voters shall have the opportunity they have been yearning for “to reclaim their state, and return it to the path of peace, growth and development, after years of rudderless leadership that has affected the welfare and wellbeing of Abians.
