Abia State government has threatened to sanction ex-government office holders that continue to withhold government properties.
The Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Professor Kenneth Kalu, in a special announcement, yesterday, stated that some former government officials, including appointees of the immediate past administration, are still holding on to government properties, such as vehicles, power generating sets, laptops among other assets.
He consequently directed them to return the properties to the SSG’s office on or before 4 pm on June 6, 2023, as well as obtain the necessary acknowledgement from the SSG’s office.
