The President of Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo, and Senior Pastor, Trinity House, Ituah Ighodalo, have flayed the Federal Government for its seeming helplessness in the face of the raging carnage in the country.

The clerics, who spoke yesterday at separate functions, noted that the government was supporting a particular section of the country at the expense of others.

Maintaining that the challenges confronting the nation were not natural, they therefore urged Nigerians to pray for the country.

In his sermon, titled Enough is enough, Oyedepo stressed that it is high time the people turned to God to fight their battles. Consequently, he declared a seven-day prayer and fast.

He said: “Nigeria requires a divine intervention urgently to avert the looming catastrophe hanging over this nation. A flood of evil is determined against this nation by the powers of darkness, but God forbid that we be found sleeping lest sudden mischief come upon us unawares.”

According to Ighodalo, who addressed the gathering at the eight anniversary party of Trinity House, tagged Faithful and limitless God, the President Muhammadu Buhari administration is not sincere, ready and determined to lead the people.

He regretted that not even one arrest had been made since the herdsmen commenced their orgy of killings nationwide.

His words: “How can anyone say you have killed one cow, we will kill one person and none of them has been apprehended. Over the years, not one person have been declared wanted, arrested, chased and it is almost as though it is okay to kill a human being and walk away.

“If somebody has killed your cow, let that person be arrested and refund it.

“If your cow has destroyed somebody’s crops, you should pay him for them and take your cow away.”
