Osun APC caucus alleges plot to attack leaders
Osun State Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola, has promised the youths better representation in governance if given a chance to govern the state again.

He said, if re-elected, youths would occupy about 30 per cent of his cabinet.

Oyetola gave the promise, yesterday, while receiving some youths in his office after their 20-kilometre march to his ffice in commemoration of the 2021 International Youth Day.

He said his administration’s prioritisation of the concerns of youths was rooted in the interest he has for them and the future of the state.

The governor, therefore, charged them to embrace peace and pursue developmental objectives in the interest of the state, adding that his political ambition is not worth the blood of any Osun youth.

In another development, a caucus of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, The Osun Progressives (TOP), yesterday, raised the alarm over an alleged planned violent attack and assassination of its leaders.

Chairman of TOP, Revd. Lowo Adebiyi, while addressing a press conference in Osogbo, said since some members of the group were attacked by thugs during the parallel ward congresses held recently in the state, there was information that TOP leaders were next to be visited with terror.

Adebiyi urged President Muhammadu Buhari, Inspector-General of Police , Director-General of the Department of State Services, Chief of Staff to the President and Secretary to the Government of the Federation to intervene in the crisis rocking the party.

He said the caucus had also petitioned the Commissioner of Police, Olawale Olokode.
