Veteran Nollywood actress Patience Ozokwo has said she enjoys playing wicked movie roles. Known by fans as “Mama G,” the actress noted that she embraces her role as a mirror to society, using her performances to highlight negative behaviours that often go unaddressed.
Speaking in a recent post on her Instagram, the actress defended the characters she has portrayed throughout her career.While acknowledging that she is personally very different from the villainous figures she plays on screen, she noted that she finds purpose in depicting these roles.
She said, “I feel bold to expose the ills in society. “Those things happen and nobody wants to expose them. I am exposing them.”
“I am not like that, but I expose it,” she added. “I am extremely proud of myself and Mama G lovers are proud of me.”
