Perd-Delight Nursery, Primary and College hosted its vibrant inter-house sports competition in Ajah, Lagos.
The event was more than just a display of athletic strength; it became a celebration of growth, vision, and faith, reflecting the steady rise of the Christ-centred institution.
Topaz (Yellow House) became the overall winner, clinching first position. Blue House (Crystal) followed in second place, while Green House (Emerald) secured third position and won the Best in Match Pass award.
Chairperson of the occasion, Mrs. Idongesit Umana, described the competition as a platform for building discipline, resilience, and teamwork among students. She stressed that sports remain a vital complement to academics, shaping character and preparing students for life beyond the classroom.
The school’s Director, Mrs. Ngozi Elizabeth Ali, disclosed that what began seven years ago as a modest nursery has grown into a thriving college.
She reflected on how the institution evolved from humble beginnings into a growing academic community now producing outstanding results.
“We started small, but God has taken us from strength to strength,” she said, noting that students have consistently excelled academically without the need for re-sit examinations.
She credited the dedication of staff and the support of parents as key drivers of the school’s success, emphasising the importance of collaboration between home and school in shaping a child’s future.
Looking ahead, she shared bold plans for expansion, including moving to a permanent site and the long-term vision of establishing a university.
