Perm sec lauds Eno for inspiring A’Ibom civil service

Umo Eno

Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State has been commended for inspiring the state’s civil service, which is critical to the successful accomplishment of goals in all sectors.

The commendation is contained in a statement by the Information/Public Relations (PR) Unit of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. According to the statement, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Mrs. Grace Akpan, gave the commendation in her office in Uyo, while fielding questions from Update Akwà Ibom Radio of the Ministry of Information, which sought her reactions on the new SUVs presented to serving permanent secretaries by the governor.

Akpan, who expressed appreciation to the governor for the SUVs, said the gesture had taken reproach from permanent secretaries and, by extension, all civil servants, recognising the civil service as the fulcrum of all processes of government.

She lauded the exceptional leadership style and compassionate disposition of the governor to the welfare of civil servants in the state and listed some of the kind gestures of Eno to civil servants including the ARISE Compassionate estates, ARISE Health Insurance Scheme, 13th-month Eno-member Salary, payment of leave grants, the SUVs to Permanent Secretaries, among others.

As one of the beneficiaries of the governor’s benevolence, Mrs Akpan pledged her unwavering loyalty, dedication, and commitment to supporting the ARISE Agenda development blueprint of the Eno-led administration. She also emphasised that civil servants were happy with the gesture and would rally behind the government.
