Peterside to headline NCDMB’s session on leadership

Executive Secretary of NCDMB, Felix Ogbe

The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) will host a book reading session featuring former Director-General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Dakuku Peterside, as part of efforts to deepen leadership discourse and knowledge exchange.

The event, scheduled for April 15, 2026, at the Nigerian Content Tower in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, is the fourth edition of the Board’s quarterly book reading programme, an initiative positioned to strengthen capacity development beyond the oil and gas sector.

The session will focus on Peterside’s book, Leading in a Storm, which examines leadership responses to crisis, uncertainty and institutional change — issues that have gained increasing relevance amid Nigeria’s evolving economic and governance challenges.

‎Introduced in 2014, the programme provides a platform for engagement between authors, professionals and stakeholders across sectors, with an emphasis on critical thinking and structured dialogue on national development themes.

‎Participants are expected to engage the author through readings, discussions and a question-and-answer session, reflecting a growing shift towards interactive learning platforms within public institutions.

Peterside, who has over 24 years’ experience across public and private sectors, is recognised for his work in public sector reform and organisational leadership. His book was named Book of the Year 2025 by THISDAY newspaper.

The General Manager, Corporate Communications, NCDMB, Obinna Ezeobi, said the programme is intended to promote learning and innovation in response to emerging challenges.
