Nigerian Police Force has paraded eight persons suspected to be kidnapper’s of 276 Chibok school girls in Maiduguri Borno State.

The girls were abducted from their school hostels on April 14, 2014. A total of 57 students escaped in the immediate aftermath of the kidnapping. Since then, 107 have either been found or released as part of a government deal with the jihadists.

The eight suspected Boko Haram jihadists were arrested by operatives of the Inspector General’s Intelligence Response Team (IGP’s IRT) in Borno, Adamawa and other adjoining communities.

The suspects alleged to have launched several attacks that have claimed lives of Nigerians within Maiduguri and Adamawa.

Earlier in the year a 35years old man, Haruna Yahaya admitted to being involved in Kidnap of the schoolgirls and has been jailed for 15 years.

“It is true that a member of Boko Haram who took part in the kidnapping of the Chibok schoolgirls was given 15 years jail,” justice ministry spokesman Salihu Isah said.

“Haruna Yahaya, who is 35 and handicapped with a paralysed arm and a deformed leg, was arrested in 2015 by the Civilian JTF,” he added.
