The Lagos State Police Command has arrested 6 persons after a fatal communal clash between Ajah and Ilaje youths in Lagos State on Wednesday.

The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Bala Elkana, who confirmed the incident to The Guardian said one person was killed during the clash.

Elkana said the clash was as a result of the “lingering crisis” between the two communities over who controls a “trading site”.

“We have deployed our resources and personalities to that place and they have brought the situation under control,” Elkana said.
