The Deputy Speaker of House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu, has decried the assassination of a couple, Mr Jacob Udo and his wife,  Mrs. Comfort Udo in Isiala Community,  within his Bende Constituency in Abia State, by yet unknown assailants.

He described their beheading and alleged dismemberment of their bodies as “horrific, senseless and unacceptable heinous act of violence that “violates the fundamental human right to life,” stressing that “no cause or grievance justifies such brutal,  inhumane and dastardly act.”

Meanwhile, the Abia State Police Command through its Public Relations Officer,  ASP Mareen Chinaka, in a statement said:  “We received such report at the Bende Divisional Police Headquarters. The crime scene has been visited, exhibits recovered, bodies deposited at the mortuary, and investigation is ongoing.”
