Prepare for life after COVID-19, TB Joshua tells Nigerians
The Founder of The Synagogue, Church of All Nations (SCOAN), Prophet Temitope Balogun Joshua has called on Christians and Nigerians to prepare for any eventuality that might come in the post COVID-19 era.
The cleric, however, counseled that whatever individuals are passing through, today, is never the end of life. Those who have unflinching faith in God will be established by the Creator. He urged all and sundry to cut their coat according to their cloth, saying those used to living big before have to adjust to whatever the future holds and plan accordingly.
In a letter made available to The Guardian, Joshua said the unexpected might come in the form of job loss, an accusation, a petition or even the death of loved ones, among other challenges.
Speaking from experience, the SCOAN leader said Nigerians should ask those who are successful what they went through in life before they got to where they are today.
He said: “I want to believe the similar signs I am seeing now will happen to many, while others may lose loved ones or run into loss.
I can see beyond much of the situation at hand. That is why I am telling you that behind that situation lies your future. After the lockdown, whatever disappointment you receive or whatever happens – think deeply and you will see the reason why it is happening to you. Remember, many successful people today once had the same experience and they were thereby moved to a higher level in life.”
He reminded Christians that God sometimes allows certain situations to happen, so that His people could learn from it. For those that are far from God and have acquired things of this world in an unrighteous manner, TB Joshua urged them to repent and accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour, noting that it is the individual’s relationship with God that will matter on the Judgment Day.
He said: “What is happening presently may be what God wants to use to prepare believers for the future. Those who married their spouses because of money should not to think of divorce, but should make adjustment to enable them cope with current trends.”
He recalled that 100 years ago, the world experienced something similar to what is happening today, which, according to him, has been like that for generations.
“All that I am saying does not mean you are down, but this is just what has come in our own time,” he said. “
He said people should expect God’s intervention between the ending of June and first week of July, 2020.
