President Muhammadu Buhari has felicitated with President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan, on his 63rd birthday, joining his family, friends and the National Assembly to celebrate with the political leader.

The President lauded the Yobe lawmaker for providing an inclusive and responsive leadership at the upper legislative chamber, leveraging his years of experience, since 2003, to guide the collective wisdom of the Senate in pursuit of national interest.

ALSO, Speaker, House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, and his deputy, Idris Wase, rejoiced with Lawan on the auspicious occasion.

Gbajabiamila, in a statement, yesterday, in Abuja, by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Lanre Lasisi, described the number three citizen as a legislator par excellence, whose contributions to the development of the Nigerian legislature in about two decades are laudable.

In another statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Umar Muhammad Puma, Wase expressed satisfaction with Lawan’s performance as a legislator and Senate President.

He described the Yobe native as “a distinguished Nigerian, a patriot and confirmed democrat, who places national interest before self.”
