President Muhammadu Buhari is to present the 2019 appropriation bill to the joint session of the National Assembly next Wednesday.

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, dropped the hint yesterday while reading the president’s correspondence at plenary.

It read: “May I crave the kind indulgence of the House of Representatives to grant me the slot of 1000 hours on Wednesday, December 19, 2018, to formerly present the 2019 Appropriation Bill to the Joint Session of the National Assembly.”

However, some of the lawmakers expressed unhappiness over the statement credited to the Minister of Budget and National Planning, Udo Udoma, where he blamed the budget presentation delay on the federal parliament.
