A Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) presidential aspirant, Datti Baba-Ahmed has berated President Muhammadu Buhari for failing to secure lives and property of Nigerians.

He said Buhari has largely not fulfilled his promises, as manifested in the reign of terror spreading to new areas, aside new forms of sophisticated crimes overwhelming suppressed and depressed citizens.

Baba-Ahmed, who spoke to The Guardian in an exclusive interview, lamented that President Muhammadu Buhari has undervalued leadership, stressing that in the last three years the meaning of leadership has been changed to the extent that leaders do not bother to deliver on their promises.

The Kaduna State-born presidential aspirant said that having checked all the constitutional and social criteria needed for leadership, he scores himself more than others noting that in advanced democracies, Senators rank above governors unlike in Nigeria where he said governor horde much money to sway delegates.

Speaking in Abuja, yesterday, after submitting his nomination form, he said though president Buhari challenged the three previous elections he lost at the Supreme Court, his 2015 election victory was not challenged.

“This unprecedented goodwill was complimented by taking a record six months to form a weak cabinet,” he said.
