Pro-chancellors appoint Briggs chairman

Pro-Chancellor of Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike, Ebonyi State, Prof. Nimi Dimkpa Briggs, has been appointed Chairman, Committee of Pro-Chancellors of Federal Universities.

The body’s Secretary-General, Prof. Yakubu Ochefu, in a statement, yesterday, said Briggs’ appointment was ratified in a meeting held at their secretariat on Monday, September 20.

Briggs takes over from Prof. Munzali Jubril, Pro-Chancellor of Federal University, Lafia, who has been chairman since 2017.
His appointment is for a term of four years.

Ochefu said Bashir Dalhatu was also appointed Deputy Chairman. Dalhatu is the current Chairman of Council and Pro -Chancellor of Moddibo Adama University, Yola.
