Progress on economy commendable, says minister
Minister of State for Budget and National Planning, Clem Ikanade Agba yesterday declared that the Federal Government has made progress in its efforts to reposition the economy.
Speaking in Abuja when Japanese Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Nigeria, Yutaka Kikuta, visited him in his office, he said the most recent was the return of the national budget cycle from January to December.
“We want to sustain what happened last year in terms of early budget passage, we will continue to work with the National Assembly to repeat the feat,” he said.
Responding, Kikuta commended the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration on its economic policies and priorities, saying it was on the right path to economic recovery and sustainability.
